Engagement in service change workshops
Are you involved in public engagement? Do you want to find out how to engage effectively with people on service change? Our workshops can help you.
The aim of the workshops is to support engagement practitioners to involve people and communities in service change and redesign, and to support you to use the Scottish Government and COSLA community engagement guidance - Planning with People.
The workshops (1.5 hours) are designed to be interactive, exploring case studies, group discussion, sharing experiences and reflections on undertaking engagement.
The three workshops cover:
- Planning effective engagement - benefits of engagement, challenges, overview of the planning stages of Planning with People, and highlight resources to support you to use the guidance.
- Delivering effective engagement - engagement, feedback and decision-making stages of Planning with People, Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) assurance role, resources, and involving people in option appraisal processes
- Evaluating engagement - share tools and approaches to evaluation, look at frameworks and discuss key things to consider.
We can tailor the workshops to suit each organisation's needs. For example, duties and principles for engagement and guidance on national service change.
