In our August 2026 session we were presented with two distinct but interconnected presentations. We were delighted to be joined by Dr Daniel Hufton, Consultant Paediatrician from NHS Forth Valley. They discussed the WHY, HOW and WHAT of Translational simulation. In the second half of our session, Alison Gillan, Alison White and Hilary Provan from Taybank Medical Centre took us through how they set time aside in their practice to understand their system through a service design lens. Their presentation From Firefighting to Flow: A story of understanding complexity, restoring balance and redesigning care together allowed us to understand the approach they took.
